THE ART OF THE STORYTELLER
The word storytelling is used in many different art forms: film, literature, cartoons, etc. but the unique and international art of storytelling is dependent on an individual storyteller retelling a story to listeners.
The story will not be a unique story but the words used will be unique to that teller. It will have come from a traditional repertoire passed on by word of mouth. Some of these stories have only survived because they were written down and thank goodness for that. The art of the storyteller is to breathe fresh life into the story every time it is told.
